The snow lays pure and untouched across the hills and in stark contrast to the black forest ahead. No birds are singing, there is no sound at all to be heard, save the gentle, swaying rhythm of skeletal branches in the biting wind. Here, nature is brutal and those creatures that survive this cruel winter will be few.

This tape contains highly atmospheric and dramatic music from Sweden but is only loosely fitting of the dark ambient sub-genre; 'winter synth'. Utilising an Alesis SR16 drum machine, Winter Sphere provides two tracks which are as progressive as they are inhospitable. Proficiently oblique, these pagan dirges stir the blood and rouse the spirit of the earth.
