The title of this release refers to a specific piece of french medieval literature from the 1100s and Descort executes here a sparkling collection of neoclassical fantasy music. In line with the strong tradition of canon artists such as Fief & DIM, 'Ysopet 1er' celebrates simplicity and relies on its considered arrangements and instrumentation to provide such an accurate aesthetic.

At times reminiscent of Nobuo Uematsu's soundtrack work during the golden age of final fantasy, this album will appeal to fans of melodic, archaic & early music.
