A curious piece from a new member of the dungeon synth community. Based in Canada, Supernatural Darkness affords a fuzzed out blend of psychedelic fantasy music. Whilst it's clear that 'Flying Fortress' is steeped in medieval harmony & cadence (complete with vocal performances which wouldn't sit out of place on a project from the celebrated artist 'Cernunnos Woods'), the flavour of this album is perhaps more adjacent to the pioneers of electronic music in the mid 1970s such as Jean-Michel Jarre & Tangerine Dream.

It's not often that a dark ambient musician presents a sound palette containing rotary toms & such fervent synth worship, this project is worth listening to for that reason alone.
